• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Hi all,

I’m curious to hear from anyone living in a warm weather city. I live in Southern California and can pretty much only find Tellurides with black interior.

Question go Telluride owners with black interior in hot weather: Is it bearable? Prefer the white or gray?

Just nervous it’ll be miserable and curious to hear from those in similar situations!

Southern Ca. here no problem at all Black Interior

As long as you tint your front/side windows at least matching the rear ones and if you use a front window sun shade you will be ok in any interior color.
Also if you get a High trim Telluride (EX or SX) you will have a ventilated wheel / seats (not my case).

Don't be afraid and be part of the few!!!!! The TelluOwners

Here in Colorado I stay away from black interiors. Had a black exterior / black interior vehicle when we moved here; too hot in the sun at our elevation. All our cars, including the new Telluride, are white exterior / gray interior.

Live in LA. Black interior - EX. Friends and Relatives talked me out of the white/gray interior which I liked and wanted. With the ventilated seats in front I have not noted a problem. Drivers seat auto adjust the seat ventilation on starting. Wish it did the same with the passage seat.

In Minnesota it is freezing in the winter and boiling in the summer... and those extremes are only about a month apart! The heated AND ventilated seats are fantastic. No problem with any weather.

wish mine was like yours (ventilated seats)

No issues here as well, Beautiful SoCal! EX Black interior. I don’t find myself using the ventilated seats always but it’s definitely nice feature to have when I do feel the need to use them. 👍

It’s been shown in tests that black seats and interiors heat up quicker than lighter colored interiors. But once about 25 minutes passes, the interiors of all colors cap out at the same temps. If you are parked for more than 25 minutes it makes zero difference.

Live in Florida. I have black interior. I have ceramic tint on windows and almost clear on windshield. Makes a huge difference in heat deflection. I prefer the black interior. This is my 2nd car with it.

I've had black leather in my last 3 cars. After parking in direct sun, it's scorching, but I learned to park facing north whenever possible. Side window tint helps a ton. I honestly don't think lighter color seats would make any difference on a hot sunny day.
