• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Howdy, Telluriders! My 2022 EXP with towing package is expected to be here next week. I'm super excited! After getting the new Telluride, I am planning on getting a camping trailer to tow with it, so I'm going to need to install a brake controller. I saw a really cool one that is basically just a knob with a little LED light above it that can be installed on the lower dash board. It looks neat and clean. What are some other options? Any recommendations?

Thanks in advance!

You might be talking about either the Curt Spectrum or the Redarc Tow Pro Elite which are two popular low profile knob style controllers. Here’s a post to consider regarding time delay vs proportional:

My vote for the coolest option is the Curt

ECHO UNDER-DASH TRAILER BRAKE CONTROLLER, BLUETOOTH SMARTPHONE CONNECTION #51190

with

ECHO BRAKE CONTROLLER MANUAL OVERRIDE BUTTON #51189

Very happy with our Redarc. Took a 4,000 mile camping trip this summer with our pop up with no issues. It is not in the way during non-camping season.

Where did you mount the controller? I like the button coming through the fuse box but cant find a good place for the box?

The Curt Echo plugs into the receptacle at the trailer hitch. It’s portable. You control it from your smartphone.

That’s the Echo Mobile, but there is also an Echo Under-Dash or an Echo In-Line.
