• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I just got the oem hitch and harness on a 2023. Looking to complete the system with a brake controller. Has anyone bought one that is compatible with the harness that comes with the tow kit that goes in by the fuse box? Would appreciate recommendations

Any update on this rehan? I'm looking into brak controllers as well which is how I ended up here :)

Happy New Year guys. I just installed the OEM hitch, wiring harness, and latch assembly this week. All this cause I’m interested in getting a travel trailer, so I looked into a brake controller. Wanting to keep a clean look inside the Telly, I decided to get the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty which uses a dash mounted knob instead of a more visible control box. The knob looks a lot like the dash knobs so it should be less obvious. Amazon had a 20% off this week which helped me decide. Found a video showing the knob mounted on the fuse access cover so I’m thinking of putting it there. I believe most of the controllers use four wires which match the OEM Harness provided with the OEM kit.

I installed the Redarc on my '22 SXP 2 years ago before I started pulling my travel trailer. Mounting the control knob on the fuse panel cover was easy and the positioning is good. I do brush it with my knee getting in and out sometimes so I check the dial setting every time before I pull. Wiring was easy with the OEM kit. Happy trails!

Assuming that most people are righties, I would think that the brake control should be readily accessible from the lower right side to the right of the steering wheel and a bit below it. Installing the knob or brake control on the fuse box (located to the left of the steering wheel) will inevitably get bumped, kicked, brushed while getting into the vehicle. Just my two cents...

Completely agree. In addition, adjustments (sometimes necessary) are easy however, if you ever need to hit the panic button (full trailer brakes) it's faster/easier with your dominant hand.
