• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Can anyone relay any info on the black trim and how hard or easy it is to keep clean?

This was a major headache for me with the Santa Fe Sport until I found a good product to keep it protected and the original black color.

I've got two black vehicles right now along with a silver one. Black is impossible to keep clean, silver always looks clean. Can't beat the look of a black car when cloudy or at night though.

I think the question here is about the black plastic trim on the bottom of the car?

I found two products that work well. There was a mention of opti-coat and its great, not sure if it can be used on plastic trim. I use that same brand sealant called Optiseal. It does really well and protects for at least few months. If the car is prepped correctly you can apply it in few minutes. It does really well on black plastic trim too. It gives it just enough shine and protects really well.
The 2nd product is 303 space protectant. It can be left pretty shiny or buffed off for factory look. Its great on your dashboard and even leather / leatherette seats.

If I get the Telluride it will be black. I have always had black cars. I just hope the clear coat is not as soft as it is on my Toyota.

Plus 1 for opti-coat and opti-seal. They are the only products I use to wash, wax, and protect my vehicles.
