• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Canadian 2021 Telluride

Was it recently??? Damn, that would be so cool.

Edit: just saw your history, it was January. That’s great. I think mine will take longer especially because of the Napa leather.
Yes, we ordered on January 15th and picked it up on February 11th. It arrived at the dealership a few days before that. We love the vehicle and are anxious to hit the road when lock downs and restrictions are lifted.

I'm a bit of a sucker for extended warranties. I tend to keep my cars for a long time, and the warranties have always paid off. And with all the electronics in new cars, I worry about future repairs. I just feel better paying now and then not thinking about it. I got a 10 year/200k km.
Hey, what did you pay for the 10 year/200K extended warranty and what company is it with?

I'm also curious about this @YAH DEF . PM if you don't want to share here.

I'm trying to get clarification from my dealership on whether the cameras and infotainment are covered because it's not in their brochure on the extended warranty offering. However, they've said, via email, that it is covered. I'm not 100% confident though. I can share the brochure if needed. Pretty sure it's used by all of Kia Canada - it's their Mechanical Breakdown Protection.

Good morning.
It finally warmed up enough in Alberta so we wanted to pick up our new SX in white with espresso yesterday. We didn’t want to do it at -40*!
So far ( 100 km ) it is as we had hoped and expected.....and then some. Driving was a great experience, once I learned to relax and stop wrestling with the lane assist....LOL.

I asked the manager about KIA deliveries to Alberta and he assured me they all come through Calgary via CP Rail and then distributed with transport trucks to the various provincial dealers.

One final note, we are retirees and I am frugal ( family maintains I’m just cheap ) and quite sceptical of many things, including promises, politicians and car sales people. But this purchase was seamless and at a very professional and courteous level that I had not experienced before!
A major shout out to Sherwood Kia and especially to Kiatt and Amin, thanks.
Gord
If You don't mind. Could you please share pictures of the interior of your car. A bit confused about the the espresso brown interior if everything will be all brown or there will be contrasts

For some reason photos of the espresso interior just doesn’t do it justice. I would describe it as more of a mocha colour. As I have mentioned in previous posts, it was a leap of faith in ordering it. We first saw it when we went to pick up the car, and I though OMG, I don’t know if I like this! But realizing it wasn't the tan/ reddy brown as shown in the Kia sales info, I quickly came around.
My wife and I truly do like it. Having the dash, steering wheel, doors and grab handles along with the upholstery all the same rich colour looks very cohesive and put together. Very grown up.....I’m 69......
On reflection, if I had the chance to reorder, we would go with the same colour. We originally wanted the grey, but realized it was so light and the contrasty bits on the doors and dash where just too blingy for us.
And in response to your last query , there are still areas of contrasts, Chrome/ satin highlights, the black console and a few other bits plus the fake would grain panel across the dash.
Hope this information and our opinions help you with your decision.

Thank you so much. Minutes after I sent that reply. My dealer called me that my MOSS-KT has arrived. Sent some pictures and I think I like what I am seeing. The wife's favourite color is brown. So I'm thinking we will be good. I'm 31 yrs younger and I don't like blingy too. So I think I ended up making the right choice. Will post pictures when I go myself. Thanks again for your response.

Ill try this again, and not screw it up......
you are very welcome and enjoy your new wheels. We are waiting for some better weather. Don’t want to drive it when the roads are messy with all the sand/ snow/ slush/ salt and general mess. Hopefully by mid March things will be suitable. Only 400 km on the clock so far.

Yeah hopefully it gets better and one can really enjoy the drive around. As an aside I've been shopping for insurance here in Calgary and the insurance brokers I have spoken to all have come up with the SXL, whenever I give them my VIN. However my MOSS-KT is an SX. Anyone else had this same issue?

I have the expresso interior and everything is brown with the only contrast being the wood trim. I like the look and the only alternative on the Canadian SX was a black interior.

Picked up our new Sangria Telly SXL yesterday and we *LOVE* it.
Ryan/Julie at Orangeville Kia were awesome to deal with and made the pickup process super easy.

Also took a picture of the new Tuxmat floor mats, which are also awesome.

Now I need to figure out the trailer hitch wiring.

Hi, I ordered Telluride NightSky Ebony Black in Montreal on Feb 16th. Got Vin on Feb 19th. Dealer is telling me that the vehicle has arrived yesterday. So is 2 weeks realistic given what I read in the thread ?

Man... if jealousy killed...
Did your dealer give you a VIN without you asking?

Well I was told 4-6 weeks time-frame. On the other hand, the day I placed the order there was an allegedly sold Telluride Ebony Nightsky( with plastic over the seats) on the lot though

You think that’s the one they gave you?

I can't say. But I was once told by a dealer in the province, whenever a customer backs out from an order, dealer has to send the car back to KIA Canada for re-allocation to the next dealer in the waiting list. Moreover the VIN falls in the range (without being listed) of the newly added VINs on www.failcat.com. CAN Vins can't be tracked on that platform so I m guessing a bit

Ordered a white SX Limited with grey interior Feb 23/ and told 6-8 weeks. They tried to locate one at other dealers but couldn't find that colour combination anywhere. I wonder if some here that received their cars quicker actually got a vehicle that was in stock at another dealer?
