• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Canadian 2021 Telluride

After driving mine for 1/3 of a year, I will echo that the HUD is completely worth it. I didn't think I would like it as much as I do, but I rarely have to look at the gages anymore.

I do wish the Kia Maps were better, as I like what they add to the HUD, but I usually end up using my Google Maps through CarPlay, as it has a much better locator of things in Canada.

When I was looking at the 2020 models, to save money I decided on getting an SX (Non-L, No Nappa), because it was cheaper and I did not "need" the Heads up and LED lights. I would have liked the chairs, but was not a deal breaker.

When the deal did not happen and I walked away, and 5 months later knew that the Nightsky was the right one for me, although I wanted the seats, I was concerned about paying the extra for the Heads Up cause I thought I would never use it.

Well 3 months later and I can't drive without it now.

I was thinking about how close I was last March in getting a 2020 SX ($2000 apart, I walked away), and thank my stars for waiting and paying a little more (they were asking too much last year), and getting what I got what I got now.

I had a HUD in my 07 Acadia; took me about a week to get used to it but loved the feature. Worth it in my opinion

Just read somewhere today that kia will be changing their logo

I am still waiting for my telly from Vancouver B.C.
Just a quick question for is it normal if I am waiting 2 months for my order?
I already received VIN one month ago and still waiting.

What did you order.?

Multiple dealers around Toronto, Ontario gave me 2 to 3 month estimate for SX.
I was checking the sales figures for SUVs for 2019 and 2020 and Telluride still seems half of highlander and less than Palisade.

Oh, I ordered SX trim.
Sure, it seems here too.

I think it's cos it's the highlander(loyal toyota customers and track record of reliability so it's understandable) and Palisade are readily available, unlike the telluride that is so desirable you have to wait and order for it

I am sure Telluride’s relatively low sales figures are reflective of KIA’s under production of this vehicle.
I think not being able to scale the production even after a year and a half is a missed opportunity. The sales could have beaten even Highlander.

They are producing more Palisade because they thought it would be more popular between the two.

Losing 316 of them to this didn't help.....

Good evening. First post on this site. We are located in Alberta, Canada. Ordered a white SX with espresso brown at Sherwood Kia on Dec 21, 2020. ( at less than MSRP ). Just got VIN from sales manager today and said to expect delivery in 3 to 4 weeks. Woo hoo!

I'm in BC.

I also ordered a white SX, but with black interior.

I ordered on December 29th. Maybe I'll get my vin in a week. I was told a 4-6 weeks delivery.

Located in Ontario. Ordered an SX black just before Christmas. Dealer scribbled 3 to 5 months delivery on the contract. Radio silence.

I'm also in BC. I was told 4-6 weeks from Kia West on Dec 18 - a SXL Nightsky - but I am thinking something more along the lines of 8-12 weeks. Where did you order from and what date?

Same, Kia West in Coquitlam.

With an order only three weeks ago, I wouldn't expect to hear much at this point. But you will definitely find out if this dealer is attentive and offers good customer service over the next few months.

Stealth, ( damn nanny spell correct won’t let me put your full handle in....)
I imagine Canadian dealers operate similar to the US dealers in that they have allotments. And depending on how many customer orders versus their monthly allotment, waiting times can extend into numerous months. I think we were lucky as we were trying to decide whether to wait or order when the dealer emailed us and asked what it would take to ” get a deal done “. So we lucked out in that we got a good price and they had allotments to get used up. At least that’s my take on it. With your dealer telling you 4 to 6 weeks, it doesn’t sound like they are oversubscribed for their allotments.
