• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Anyone notice an annoying rattle from your captains chairs when they are empty?

Just found this issue and shocked. Made a video of the EASY repair below. Clearly a QC miss during assembly.

Let me know if yours rattles too?

Great info. Thanks for blazing this trail for us. Definitely a keeper!

Maybe add some tape over the top of the cover to hold it in place , duct tape.

Not a bad idea Lou, maybe even some double sided 3M to eliminate all possibilities of rattle or coming loose again. It snap fits in so hopefully they just missed that part during assembly.

I’ll update with a new video in a few days. The fix with tape doesn’t work either but have an ultimate solution. I pretty sure every single captains chair, where they get used, will have this plate pop off after what I figured out today. As soon as you sit in the seats the foam pushes backwards and pops the plate off again. Even with tape, after a few times, it starts to loosen.

Sorry to revise an old post but there is no new video on this and I'm curious.
I do not have this situation but if it does I'd like to know how to address it.

Thanks

I think these are new and were not on original models, and may be a factory fix to original problem. Anyway, one of mine was broken, and I found the pin part of the retainer under the chair. My car is at dealer today having retainer replaced, and hopefully that fixes the problem.

I'm still not clear what the fix is for the rattle with rear the captain chair.

Can someone step up to guide us new people through it?

Having the same issue, any fixes?

If you’re having this issue please make sure to call KIA USA support to register a ticket. It’s the only way this is going to get addressed.

I finally tracked mine down, the attachment points for child seat vibrate against the bottom of seat back. I wrapped a small piece of foam rubber around the metal attachment and it fixed it totally.

Can you post some pictures please?
