• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... 2021 SXL Nightsky (Canadian). Only 165km so far. I sat in the driver side 2nd row captain’s chair today and thought wow, this is tight. Then realised that the chair does not go back in the rail as far as the passenger side 2nd row captain’s chair does. It is not aligned and reduces legroom. I have attached pictures. The armrests do not align as a result too (this pic is slightly exaggerated).

Any one else experience this problem with the chairs?

Appointment made at dealer for hopeful and easy correction.

Have you checked there aren’t objects obstructing the seat from sliding in the rail all the way back?

Have you pressed the one touch release to move the chair freely and then snap it back?

Have you checked the red manual release strap on the back bottom of the chair isn’t in the unlatched pulled position? If somebody pulled on it and it didn’t return to lock position, it may affect travel of the seat.

You inspired me to look at the track again. Found the culprit sitting wedged in the track. Seat now moves fully back and forth. Now I just have to figure out where the screw came from! Hopefully it was not holding up, or fastening anything critical or required for safety. Thanks Tellthemride!!

Glad you figured it out. Looks like it could be a screw securing the rail to the floor or upper rail to the bottom of the chair. Maybe it wasn’t fastened completely and came loose.
