• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I hear mixed thoughts on wireless car play and it not working or available. Wife cant vet wireless car play to work. Android auto over wifi works for me, but not with the cable, get a nice bright red screen talking about security issues. Just weird.

The Telluride (along with any Hyundai or Kia with a large screen and navigation) doesn’t support wireless CarPlay or Android Auto.

Your only option for using either CP or AA wirelessly would be with an accessory adapter. Most adapters only support one or another, but some do support both with the same box. Depends on what you buy.

I wonder why android auto connects wirelessly... weird. Was hoping this meant it just needed an update to get the wired android connection to work.

You sure you’re actually using Android Auto? You have the actual AA interface displayed on the screen? You’re not just using standard Bluetooth to play music and make phone calls with the Kia interface?

It does say android auto on the screen, when connected. So i assumed it was.
I’d be interested to see a picture of your infotainment screen when showing Android Auto coming from your non-corded phone and with nothing plugged in to your car’s middle USB port.

Maybe I am missing something then. It seems by multiple people that it is not a thing and I will trust these comments. My ignorance is strong here. If i can get a pic though in the next fee days, i will submit them here. But, wife works crazy nursing hours opposite mine, so its pretty rough. <its her vehicle>

Well I can tell you that the Telluride -- none of the years (even 2024) -- has wireless Carplay. Everyone is forced to purchase a dongle.
Sounds good, thx.... This is a bit new to me and I appreciate the responses.
