Cargo cover or hiding options when using 3rd row

Hi, I'm told the cargo cover only clips into the walls with the retractable cover when the 3rd row seats are down. Does anyone have a good system for covering luggage with the 3rd row up? Thanks.

I got lots of reusuable shopping bags behind the 3rd row, so in case I need to cover something important (like my briefcase, backpack etc) I will just put a bag over it. The rear glass is quite dark so I do not think the stuff behind the 3rd row is noticeable to begin with. Of course it's better be safe than sorry.

In a pinch you could always use the lid for the lower/hidden storage compartment.

Ugh! I got the cargo cover but didn’t realize it clips only if third row is down.
