• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Hey everyone I thought I would share my experience with applying CarPro CQuartz coating on my leather seats today. I have the dune interior with nappa leather. I wanted something to help protect the seats from stains since I have young kids. I wasnt willing to pay an arm and a leg for the “protection package” offered by the dealer. I found this CQuartz product for $60. It supposedly is a “semi permanent” coating that helps prevent stains and dye transfer. Most reviews online were positive. I first cleaned the seats and honestly after two months weren’t dirty as much as I thought they would be! The CQUARTZ went on well with the cloths they provide. A little bit goes a long way and I found the trick was to do smaller sections with less product. Then immediately after applying an area taking another rag and wiping the area down to smooth out and fill in any missed areas. It did not add any shine or “slick” feeling to the leather. It looks shiny for about 10 minutes until it dries. I used about 2/3 of the product provided to treat all 7 seats and steering wheel. Took me about 1 hour and 45 minutes to clean and treat the leather (I was being meticulous to hit all areas and ensure even coverage). Again I think the biggest piece of advice I have if using this product is to immediately wipe down with the extra cloths they provide and smooth out the application. For $60 I figured it was worth a shot. Will keep y’all updated.

Any updates?

To date I have not noticed any issues with the leather that would make me not recommend this product. But I can’t say either that the leather has been exposed to anything that would cause stains. On the steering wheel I have noticed less “build up” of oils that normally happens on my previous vehicles. I think for $60 it is worth the peace of mind.
