• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Has anyone heard of or had their catalytic converter stolen on their Telluride ? It's on the rise here in the Twin city (Minn) area. How hard is it to do on a Telly ?

There's nothing hard with thieves! Especially the pros--that's their specialty! The best defense is knowing where you park--that is, be always one step ahead!

Exactly!

Here in Houston, a good target are Van Pool riders, who park their cars in grocery center parking lots all day. From what I understand, it only takes the thieves 2 minutes. They cut them off the vehicles. The way to stay ahead of them in those cases is to park the vehicle where customers are continuously coming and going (near the store entrance). The thieves will choose to play it safe by staying on the edges of the parking lots (away from foot and parking traffic).

The trade offs will be:

- Security noticing you are a non-customer occupying prime spot all day long... tow truck.
- 60+ cars going in and out of the spots next to you all day long... dings and scratches.

Body side molding helps. I need to get it on my Telluride. I have a CR-V in the garage that I hit regularly, but, bsm really has protected it.

They can get them fast off of a Prius. BTDT. Fun times....

I ordered the optional skid plate to be added with my Telluride order. Do you think this might be a helpful deterant?
