• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Hi all...

New S owner here,,,, the center console (where you rest your elbow lol) is very deep and seems like a waste of space because of the depth. Has anyone comes up with a good way to utilize the space better? Like mini levels or anything?

I bought a small trash can and put it in there.

This tray is made for a 4Runner but it actually fits the Telluride really well.

Pics? Does it sit in the bottom or replace the top tray that's already in there?

I bought same one. Works great. Replaces old one

Found numerous pics in the reviews. Thanks to any of you who posted pictures with your review on Amazon.

The center console is deep and I didn’t want it to become a dumping ground. I use this tray to have 2 layers of storage. Stuck a motion sensor light to the side of the well underneath so when I lift this tray, the light pops on to see into the space below. I now have a space for quick retrieve items and a cavern for other items I don’t use as much.

Hey Tride77,
Can you share the info on the motion light you speak of? Is it plugged into the USB? Other?

Thanks

Sure:

AMIR (Upgraded Version) Motion Sensor Lights, Battery-Powered LED Night Lights, Stick-Anywhere Closet Lights Stair Lights, Wall Lights for Hallway, Bathroom, Bedroom, Kitchen etc. (White - Pack of 3) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00T1O1DX...abc_0KB3H330333DX7HH7XYB?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

These have a light sensor component that I covered with electrical tape so they only light up when I lift the above mentioned console and fish around below. The magnetic stick on tape isn’t the best; sometimes I find the light in the bin instead of affixed to the side, but perhaps stronger magnetic tape would solve that small problem. They run on 3 AAA batteries.

Great! Thanks
I think that's the best part of all this - thinking up all the tricks!;)

Those are great. I have one in my 2020 NIssan Maxima SR

I picked one of these up. Maybe I can actually use my wireless charger now since that area will no longer be a catch all. I really wanted a place to dump my change, this center console leaves me wanting more but at least we have these really cool hard plastic grab handles! Anyway, good find you guys.20210518_155602.webp20210518_155544.webp

Bought the same thing and it fits nicely. I also took the OEM tray, turned it sideways and put it underneath the new tray giving some organization down below.

I bought it too and it does fit nicely. Good idea about the OEM tray — I’ll give that a shot

What are the dimensions of the pit? I was thinking about getting one of these to organize that black hole a little better.
Several brands/sizes available. Just need to figure out what will fit the best.

I bought this in purple (so I could see it) for the bottom. Seems to do what I need it to do and fits the bottom pretty well.

I'm assuming you got the medium?

Do you have a picture so we can see how well it fits?

Yes; medium.
Perfect! I agree that going with a light or bright color is a must to help make things visible. This seems like a no brainer upgrade to that space.

Received another care package today. Let's not talk about the Knick knacks and toys that we chase to add to our Telly Collectables. ;)
Went for the 4Runner Tray and picked up some motion lights to try out, for the dark abyss - which of course, is already surrounded by the Stop Gap Insurance foam. :p

Hey @Tride77, going to try these motion lights, saw them when looking up your lights. Will let everyone know how they work out.
Not sure if the output of that console USB will help keep then charged. (Even slightly or occasionally), but they look like a good size to attach under the lid OR in the box.
