• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Just wanted to say how happy I am with the ceramic coat I applied to my Glacial White SX. I picked up our T’Ride in mid June and drove it home, gave it a quick wash, wiped it with microfibre towels and backed it into the garage. I used Mother’s CMX ceramic coating spray, and after 3 months I am very happy with the results. I sprayed a clean micro fibre towel with CMX and applied it to one panel at a time, letting it dry for about 10 minutes before polishing it off (It wipes off very easily). I applied two coats within the first 24 hours. The paint finish looks and feels smoother, rain water beads up on it like no wax I have ever seen and simply rolls off. I reapplied CMX about a week ago ( the finish “builds up” with each application). Dirt appears to wash off easily, and the paint has a great sparkle to it. This is a great product. I have always been a regular wax guy, keeping all of my cars clean and shiney, but this is definitely the best coating product I have ever used. I will update after we get through a Canadian winter !

I used Meguiar's spray-on ceramic and I have to say, I'm a convert as well. Always waxed my vehicles, but this is way easier. Tried it on my wife's car first and it looks way cleaner after a rain fall, plus nothing seems to stick to it!

Here's a pic of the water beading up after overnight rain last weekend at our campsite.

Yes, coming from the days of old school paste wax application and then triceps burning buffing, this seems like cheating! I'm overall happy with it and I can do a quick clay bar cleaning in area's and then reapply this and buff in less than an hour. It says it lasts months but I still reapply every 2-4 washes. Despite the slippery surface, I still accumulate road grime and tar build up generally behind the wheels and on the back of the car

You might want to check out Griot's 3-in-1 Ceramic spray. This stuff has done outstanding in all tests and reviews I've followed. I have not used it yet, but i have a bottle waiting for my Telluride. There is a YouTuber, Scott HD, who does long term testing on a ton of products and the Griot's spray has outperformed pretty much all ceramic sprays both professional and DIY. You can check out the latest, 1 year update video below. He even put it head to head, in other videos, with ceramic coating systems and the results have been impressive.

I have been watching these, it's pretty great that he's doing such a comprehensive comparison. I have the Meguiar's spray wax ($17 at PepBoys). It did OK in the SCOTT HD test, I figure for a spray product (literally spray and hose it off), I'm thrilled. Is the Griot's 3-in-1 a buff-in or a spray application?

It’s a spray on and buff off spray. Seems pretty quick. I guess I’ll know soon enough.
