Chip Shortage

I ordered an SX-P NF on 3/20. At this point I understand that I will be getting a 2022. My dealer told me this past Monday that due to the chip shortage there will be no SX models built ahead of any other model because SX models take more chips. Has anyone else heard this?

I wanted to order a plain SX yesterday, but my connection who orders through Kia Fleet service informed me that they are no longer taking any orders due to the chip shortage. I hope this isn't true, and someone will correct me.

It is not true, and everyone here will correct you. In fact, two posts above there's a dealer rep taking new orders.

Has anyone heard of production delays going on with sx trims because of the shortage? I saw my vin pop up may 20, but went down to the dealer today and he showed me in the system that the car still hasn't been completed. Is that normal for it to take 2+weeks to build at the factory?
