To Nightfall or not to Nightfall… to wrap or repaint… to de-chrome or not. Adding black paint, matte or glossy?

Call me not with the times, but I happen to LIKE chrome accents. I think my 2020 SXP is as beautiful today as it was when I took delivery, back in the pre-Nightfall days.

Nothing against the new styling. Kia clearly has hit another home run with the NFE, and one of my best friends just ordered one. Go for it!

I just felt the need to go On Record as a chrome lover and I will never change mine.

Anyone else out there?

On my 2019 GMC Sierra SLT, I like the Chrome. On my 2022 Telly, I really like the black out look. I guess that is why they offer multiple options

Agreed, love a bit of chrome for the contrast/accents. Nothing against NFE since it looks great as well.

Telly looks like a Blob of monochromatic dark color w/ Nightfall and most exterior colors. If you like low contrast, I guess it's for you.

Either of the Pearl Whites + NFE = high-contrast Maximum Panda, which some people adore, I get it, but Snow White Pearl still looks way better with the classic trim and non-NFE black accents. A little less panda and way classier with chrome.

Chrome breaks up the darkness of exterior colors like Dark Moss, Gravity Gray, Black Copper and really show off the gorgeous lines of the amazing Kia Telluride. Chrome makes Telly look wider in front, longer on the sides and faster in general.

In other words, Tom Kearns and Kia Design HQ got it right the first time.

Why mess with perfection?

Nightfall clearly cheapens the look of the car and looks frankly like a cheap afterthought designed to cash in on the "chrome delete" "blackout package" "hyperdip" "plastidip" fad.

I personally don't like the "chrome delete" look and the phrase sounds obnoxiously dumb, but hey, it's y'all's money.

Get whatever makes you happy and just drive the darn thing in Sport Mode, not just on Saturdays.

NFE can look a bit too informal/understated. Like the Panda looks more like and unmarked police unit or municipal/utility vehicle (But the NFE Wolf is pretty cool!). I ordered a EXP in instead of SX because I didn’t want black rims. Now stay off my lawn you fashion forward young people!

Anyone else out there?

I actually don’t like chrome all that much but at a dealer recently I saw a ‘22 and ‘21 in the same color, trim, wheels, etc. IMO the ‘21 grille is nicer.

But my personal opinion aside, isn’t it almost a no-brainer to give people more choice especially when it’s not increasing the complexity of your supply chain? For example:

1. Non-NFE grilles should be chrome like 2020-21 since NFE gives people a choice to go blackout.

2. Non-NFE wheels should be silver for SX/P (ditto).

3. One of the 3 notches above EX (EXP, SX, SXP) should be available with a bench second row. Ideally it should be the SX because it combines features important to families such as surround view and other stuff.

I don’t need captain chairs but want the surround camera that’s only available on the SX. Or just offer a SX with bench seating.
