• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... My wife took delivery of our Ebony Black SX yesterday and I am in love with this car. However upon going over it myself this morning, I found this on the bottom of the lift gate. It seems to be something wrong with the clear coat, it feels rough to the touch. I thought it was just a smudge at first, but definitely not. Any idea if they’ll fix something like this? It’s driving me crazy now that I know it’s there.

It's hard to tell from the picture what the problem is. The overall image quality is not the great. Is it the "cloudy" part or the "streaks" or something else? Are you sure there isn't something on the surface of the paint? Be careful when you check. The black paint scratches and shows it easily.

If it's a problem with the clear coat from the factory, I don't see why it wouldn't be covered under warranty.

Is this the interior lip of the lift gate? If so the entire inside lip is kinda rough wish it nice because it’s easier to clean. If that’s a panel on the outside I’d definitely take it in.

Sorry the picture is bad, for orientation purposes, the lift gate is open so you’re looking at it sort of parallel with the orientation of the license plate which you can see in on the left side. The rough white-ish area is at the very bottom of the lift gate, but still on the exterior surface (just above the bumper).
