• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
    If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I've seen some Tellys with white running lights; mine are orange. Are they sold that way, or is it an aftermarket change?

Orange = the higher end LED headlights, which in 2020 were only on the SX but later were an option on the EX as well, I believe.

I like them, just wondering if I can switch between them as my mood changes :)

No...and I don't believe you can just swap out the headlight modules either as ernysan was sort of suggesting. There are other electrics and software involved because other then their physical shape, the electronics are pretty fundamentally different between the two types.

I was just thinking it would be pretty cool if they made to premium lights color-changing DRLs.

Maybe...but it would likely be a decent amount of cost/complexity for limited functionality. It would be illegal to have any colors other than white or orange visible from the forward aspect of a vehicle, and I imagine the vast majority of owners wouldn't know or care to change them.

Wasn't sure what was legal. I figured red and blue are illegal for obvious reasons. But I've definitely seen cars with purple/pink/green DRLs. The Telly's are about as reddish of an amber as I remember seeing. I wonder if they pushed it to the limit.

Someone said “oh wait they all do”.. I took that as saying all 2022’s do. Just trying to clarify 🤷🏽‍♀️

Since some keep making partially incorrect or confusing comments, here is the correct answer.

For Tellurides sold in North America, the color of the DRL is tied to the type of headlights.
Halogen headlights = white LED DRL.
LED headlights = amber LED DRL.

It’s that simple.

But for a more detailed trim by trim analysis:

Canada
2020-2022
ALL trims = amber DRL

USA
2020-2022
LX = white DRL

2020-2022
S = white DRL

2020-2022
EX = white DRL
2020
EX Premium = white DRL
2021-2022
EX Premium = amber DRL

2020-2022
SX (all) = amber DRL

Thanks this is very useful. I have a SX on order. For clarification, I would not be able to switch out the amber LED DRL bulb for a white one? Want to make sure I didn't misunderstand previous comments.

No, because the the amber DRL is also your parking lamp/turn signal.
