• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Flip lid in console is stuck. There has been a thread on this. Any new insights

I’ve now had advice from friendly KIA, my dealer, to put pressure on the back of the door. That should enable the door to slide back..thanks to Carl Joyner at the dealership. He is their engineering wizard

My center console lid would not open properly either. After noticing that some material from the grab handle was sticking out on the drivers side (see pic) they decided to replaced the entire black glossy console. Took 2 weeks to get the part. It wasn’t installed properly and the door was no longer aligned. That was my issue, but YMMV.
