• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I just installed Snailfly crossbars (link to Amazon model) and I'm getting a vibration at low speed (50kmh/30mph). I've moved the front rail back twice, it's now sitting behind the pillar between the doors. I had the front rail just over the back edge of the sunroof and before that right over it, the noise was pretty intense and worse at higher speed (80kmh/50mph). The rear rail isn't an issue, no vibration. They's both installed correctly, fat edge to the front. All the screws are tight.

Anyone with these rails, how far back from the windshield (or another mark I can use) are yours ?

I have them and installed exactly per the instructions. No noise, vibration or buffering.

Those don't look the same. I have the lockable ones (per the link) and my rails are brushed aluminium. The instructions left some steps out, like the bracket that needs to be installed into the rail at each end where the 2 screws go.

Looking at your pic, the front rail looks like it's in pretty much the same place as mine ?

Having the same issue (with the lower profile crossbars). Its an intense vibration, kind of sounds like a dirt bike revving its engine right behind me. Going to try the OEM style ones. I do like these better as they are flat and I like the low profile. If anyone has any luck making them work would love to learn how..

Interesting. I'm getting noise/vibration that is particularly noticeable when the sunroof is tilted/vented. Maybe I'll go back and doublecheck the installation instructions/video, but I feel like I measured 3 times.

We just installed our Snailfly crossbars a week ago and the instructions it came with were poor. After looking at several other pictures with them installed and watching several videos ours appear the same as TPGH’s above. We have had no road noise at all.
