• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Hi all! I really want the blind spot monitors and surround view cameras, so that means SX. But my wife *hates* the black rim tires you get on the SX.
Is this the kind of thing a dealer can easily swap out? What are my options here?

If you get the black SX wheels, you will be the proud owner of the most sought-after wheels on any Telluride. You should have no problem unloading them for plenty of $$$.

You probably have a whole list of options… maybe an aspiring dealer will take them so they can upsell another model on their lot. Or you could swap with one of the many S or EX Premium owners who wanted black wheels instead (and probably pocket some money on top). Or you could just sell them outright on here or elsewhere and then find some aftermarket wheels you like.

There’s many things you can do, but know what you have and don’t just give them away. 😉

How bad does the wife "hate" them? Get the car, drive it for a few months while you are "looking" for new wheels and I will bet this will pass. There is absolutely no rush. The black wheels on this car make it right. When I see other trims with the silver wheels I immediately know: It's not the SX trim. It doesn't look as good in my opinion. In fact I have KIA 18" silver wheels for the winter and I'm not looking forward to putting them on.

I see a black SX near me with the stock S wheels on it. It just doesn't look right.

I seriously hope this is a really late April Fool's Day joke.

Are you nuts? :ROFLMAO:

Keep the SX wheels.

Why pay extra for the best-looking trim level (SX, non-Nightfall) then remove the exclusive and amazing black SX wheels?

This is great advice. Thank you!

I’m going to to try my luck driving around a bit to see if she comes around 🤣

I feel the same way. I would swap out any black wheels on day one.

There are many wheel & tire retailers; for example Tirerack.com.

Very important to buy a reputable wheel brand like BBS, Enkei, MSW by O.Z., etc. and the right size tire (any decent retailer should recommend the right size)

My wife and I felt the same way about the black wheels when we first put in our order at the beginning of May - we're pretty boring and historically liked the traditional wheel look over trendy black wheels. Plus, with the Gravity Grey non-NF we wanted, I felt like the black wheels didn't really tie into all the chrome on the grille etc on the 2021 models.

Once I saw the 2022 changes, though, I think the black wheels look great since the grille is now black as well - it's a great balance/look. I'm excited about them now.
