    If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Can anyone tell me if the alotted slots for a dealership include both special orders and random builds for the dealerships inventory? Not quite sure how to explain this question but.... say a dealership is allotted 3 special orders per month. Will that dealer also get sent some random builds to put up for their normal inventory on top of that 3 special orders? Or is that 3, their total allotment?

Allotments are broken down by drivetrain and trim level, so a dealer gets X amount of SX AWD, Y amount of EX FWD, etc.

If your dealer is allotted 3 SX AWD KFOS slots for the month and had 6 presold orders entered into Kdealer, the system would fill all 3 slots with presold orders. If your dealer also had 3 EX FWD slots and 1 EX FWD presold order, then it could order two more EX FWD. That is how it is supposed to work.

But there are dealers playing games with the ordering system. That is known. Some dealers are not actually entered their "presold orders" into Kdealer. By doing this, they can slot in lot inventory vehicles. In that case, they can do whatever they want with their 3 SX AWD and 3 EX FWD, including mixing lot inventory and presold orders. It's garbage, but it is happening. The only way to know is to research the dealer and compare notes on what the dealer says about their waitlist versus what shows on failcat.

Is this true? It seems like the dealers get x amount of Tellurides, doesn't seem to matter the trim. Dealer I am working with always gets the same number but trim numbers are always different. Just stating what I have observed, I'd be interested to hear from someone who works for a dealer.

@whatthewhat is exactly right.

It seemed like there was an exception when the 2021 Nightfall Editions were rolled out for the first time though back in late 2020. Weren’t those were showing up on several dealer lots without Kdealer orders? But this probably isn’t the case with the release of 2022 model years.

Thanks for the info. Hawaii dealerships share their inventory throughout 7 different dealerships so when I look it up by state on failcat it shows that in the past 6 months they have been getting anywhere from 5 to 15 tellurides a month. It fluctuates quite a bit and doesn't seem like a consistent amount each month.
