• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Hey everyone! I hope this hasn’t been discussed already- still new here

Curious as to how your dealer experience went. I had the absolute worst experience in mine. If it weren’t for me needing the car, I would’ve taken my deposit back and flip them off on the way out

Oh it’s been mentioned on here 😂

Also what model did you get? Exterior/interior color?

I had a very painless experience at Central Kia of Plano. Ordered over the phone - gave them a $1k refundable deposit over the phone. Got exactly the car I wanted for the price I was willng to pay (MSRP less $400 military discount). Drove one-way rental car 10 hours to get the car when it arrived (53 days after order), handed them a certified check for the full amount and drove home a happy camper. Sorry you had a bad experience. You didn't provide any details - why was it such a horrible experience?

My dealer made me wait until the cashiers check cashed! Seller told me an EMPLOYEE at one of their other stores was doing a check/title scam and got them for 1.2 million in a few months. Now they won't give a car until its all cleared. I can't be offended as a business owner, but as a customer I was a bit frustrated.

Also had a hiccup with different states and getting right registry info, but the insurance guy I work with is a pro and made sure they had it all straight.

For the OP.

Kia doesn't have a steller reputation for their dealers, its historically a crap car with crap dealers. They've only recently pushed to decency, and sadly enough not all dealers have upgraded their mentality to work with a new customer class. If this website didn't exist, along with the good dealer thread...my wife would NOT be in a kia, because all the ones within 100 miles of me are worth less than a bucket of cat piss.

That said, all companies are dealing with this right now, the more the shortage continues the more dealers that show their true faces and will be put on the naughty list. My salesman said there is a dealer near me who sells every car they have over MSRP right now. Although the nissan dealer down the road had "15k off" signs everywhere on their trucks lol what a pathetic sight to see in this market.
