Dealership damaged my car and lied

It takes A LOT to make me this upset but boy, I am HOT & livid

I absolutely would NOT RECOMMEND Beck & Masten Kia in Tomball.

I took my brand new 2021 telluride in for a minor issue covered under warranty, I’ve only owned for 4 weeks so far. Monday we picked up our car, not only was the original complaint NOT fixed correctly, but they damaged my car in the process. They didn’t even tell us, they tried to play it off as if we wouldn’t of noticed. I KNOW someone knew they did this to my car, how could you not?

So this was strike 1.

So we had to drive it back and leave it for ANOTHER 2 days due to their mistakes. I was told that they would be ordering a brand new door panel to replace what they did and it would take 1-2 days. Fine - we left it.

I picked up my car today after leaving it there and being inconvenienced for 2 days due to their mistake...after being told it was “repaired” and ready to go!!! Does this look like a new door panel? Because it’s not.

Strike 2. Why’d you lie and tell me your ordered a new part but clearly you didn’t?

I spoke to the service manager and he told me this door panel is BACK ORDERED. So they couldn’t of even ordered it in the first place 🤦🏽‍♀️ another lie. They led me to believe it was already ordered

They had ZERO intentions of even telling me about the part being backordered until I was already angry and spoke to the manager. Otherwise, they were gonna just send me on my way as a job well done!!

They took a heat gun to it, to smooth it over AFTER they led me to believe it was a brand new door panel. AND the plastic is still scratched Do I look stupid? It was so obvious. (It’s more obvious in person and now I know it’s there and driving me nuts)

Small or not but this is my brand new car, and they need to be held responsible for what they did.

And to top it all off? NO ONE seemed remorseful or sorry for what they’ve been putting me through. That’s the icing on the cake.

- The service manager didn’t apologize. He just said he will order the part and will call me. - they were supposed to order it to begin with so I’ll believe it when I see it. I just want my car fixed and to be on my way but right now, I am not happy.

Well although I’m out in Katy (1hr away for those that don’t know) one thing for sure it has made me aware never to step foot in Beck & Masten Kia.

I discussed with them about potentially buying my telluride from them....SO glad I didn’t. I never want to come back here, ever.

I feel your pain. I would have been just as upset. With the Telluride being expensive as it is, attracting clientele from the luxury market, they need to step their game up for service. Otherwise, it will leave an everlasting mark on the Telluride owners to avoid buying KIA’s in the future just to avoid the KIA dealership service quality.

After experiencing Audi’s level of service, now I know how lacking mainstream car brand dealership service departments really are in comparison.

After I bought my car I found some stuff that wasn’t right I kept taking it back to the dealership so they could fix it I had my for about 6 months and I’m still waiting on the second row to get fixed because of a back order

To be honest with you, still Kia car, Kia dealership and Kia services, what do you expect? I know how you feel about this, because i been in this situation before when receiving my new car at the first time, it really is an uncomfortable feeling at all with a brand new car you pay a lot of money for it, in the end the damage is happened, very small and not noticeable, I think you should negotiate with them to get extra free maintenance without changing the part, trust me, it’s worth it, opening door inside parts is not recommended at the end, Good luck.
 
Damn, how did they manage to gouge the door panel that bad? Jeeze!
Piss poor repair also.
I tell people who want the Telluride that it’s a great vehicle but the buying experience is going to be terrible. As a brand, Kia is still learning what it means to be a trusted brand. My wife has a Toyota and the experience at their dealerships, from buying to service is a clear step above.
