  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I just recently leased a 2022 Kia Sportage for my daughter going to grad school. It was the whole 4 hour affair, sitting, waiting, back and forth with sales associate, sales manager, "owner". Left with the car and what I thought was a decent deal for a lease. It seemed the dealership was more concerned about how I was going to answer the KIA visit from the survey more than anything and even "schooling" me into the answers I should receive. I am not new to this, in fact this is what I come to expect (and hate) about the whole thing. The sales manager even said if I don't answer this or that specifically, their dealership would fail and the associate I used would not get his $10 gift card. Really, is this what it has come to? So I got the survey and I answered it truthfully instead of lying to achieve what they would want. And I was kind, nothing negative, just not straight "10"s as I was told to answer. Sure I would buy another car from them. Next I get an email from the dealership trying to understand where they went wrong. I also think I got a phone call but didn't pick up. I see so many bad experiences with the dealerships and posters buying Tellurides so I can understand the problems. I like the KIA produce and am simply being honest. Not sure what they actually want from the buyers or how they will improve without honest feedback.

I wish they would stop wasting time with the back and forth as well. And be honest and up front with their numbers instead of sending you to the finance guy after shaking hands only to find out there are added fees before you can finalize the deal.

Hate the dealership car buying business model.
