Delivery promise in 2 weeks

A dealership is offering me delivery promise in 2 weeks with a very good rebate. I need the car ASAP. Has anyone heard that KIA is able to deliver the vehicles faster now? I was thinking that the dealership is doing it just to order one so that they will have one and can sell it to someone else in case i back out when i don't get it after 2 weeks.

They can say that only if they already know that it is allocated and coming to them

If you told them what you want and they have one coming in that matches, it’s possible. I would ask for the vin, if it is really coming in two weeks they should be able to tell you the vin then you can look it up to make sure it is what you want. Hope this helps ya.

well, nothing in coming in that they can offer me. they are doing a factory order; that's why I am skeptical!

they asked me color preference and all and said they will be placing the order. they don't have the VIN# yet.

You will not get a vin until a few weeks before it ships. VIN is one of the last things. Which model did you order? FWD/AWD?

haha, by the way I am in toronto. the dealership folks seem to be nice people but I need a car ASAP. i think i may end up buying something else as I can't really wait for that long!

by the way, not sure whether it would be called factory order, but they said KIA Canada gets cars all the time and if my color preference matches with they they are getting, I will get something very soon.

I am yet to place an order. Thinking about doing it today. I am in Canada, all of them are AWD.

well really hard for me to decide. there is a dealership that's offering their showing vehicle for sale to me that has only 130 km on it but that's the only color i don't want. and then there is this one with 2 weeks delivery promise.
so i have to decide whether i am okay giving up on the color v/s gamble on this 2 week delivery promise.

you mean they can mark up the price from what's mentioned on the Purchase Order?
