• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Did you blackout your 2022 KIA Emblem?

I went with the Nightfall Package and a lot of the chrome trims will already come blacked out for you (picture shown was when I picked it from the lot). I had to have this package (previous car was a Benz CLA250 with their Night Package). I had the badges painted, here, in Stockton. They did a great job color matching the Telluride nameplate
@SpencerSandy Would you mind sharing the name of the place where you got them painted? And how much? I'm near Stockton and am interested in getting mine done. Thanks.

I
I was all for dying it black before i picked mines up... then when i got it...im like it looked decent to me... so i never changed it
I agree. I think it looks better the way it comes from the factory. Especially on the front grill.

What color of Hyperdip/Plastidip would match the stock glossy black Telluride logo? I thought about Piano Black, but I heard it looks significantly different from "Telluride" (Nightfall). Maybe a Shadow Black or Stealthy Gray? My Telluride will be arriving in a week or two... so time to decide... xD

Piano Black is the glossy black Hyperdip. Shadow Black is the matte finish.

Yes, and I heard that piano black looks significantly different from the original "Telluride" letters when you actually spray.

I have not heard that and have seen examples myself which look pretty similar to my eyes, granted vi pictures only. If someone used the word significant, I think they may have been a tad dramatic.

Just did my emblem with black emerald metallic hyperdip. 4 tack coats and 6 wet coats. I think it looks ok, but next time I'm going to try the piano black to see if it matches the other lettering more. I'm also going to do lighter coats because it looks slightly pooled at the edges. Stuff you only notice when its right in your face though really.

I love that I can pull it off and redo it if necessary, trial and error!

Nice! No question, aside from vinyl, Hyperdip is definitely the way to go. 👍🏻

Thanks for the photo! Would you share some more photos from different angles (it looks like silver) and maybe from some distance? I was actually considering that color as well! Do you think it blends well with the letters, or do they actually look pretty different? Thank you!!

So Hyperdip Piano Black for rear and Shadow Black for front or Piano Black for both? Any confirmation would be appreciated. Thanks all!

SB for front, PB for rear seems to be the best match.

Would agree. I only had a can of SB so I ended up using SB for both. I tried a vinyl decal and didn’t like that I could still see silver around the edges. Will eventually probably do PB for the rear although with my tow hitch cover being matte black and parts of the rear bumper also being matte, I’ll hold off for a little.

Its not as glossy as the letters, and its metallic, so that's probably why it looks a little silver. The metallic finish actually matches the metallic finish of the car itself. It blends well, however next time I will definitely try piano black to match the other lettering more. I actually think it would look great on the front emblem, I might try that and peel it if I don't like it.

How hard was it to remove the emblems?

That's the beauty, you don't have to! Watch some vids on hyperdip/plastidip. You spray and peel like magic!

Dang, that's super nice! Thanks

I’m not offended by either, but I feel like the black emblem looks nice on the back and I’m with you on the front. The chrome/silver logo on the black grill is a nice contrast.
I love the chrome on grill but all black on rear too
