• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... DIY - K&N Intake Install

@VenomKia how is your gas mileage looking right now? I would definitely consider this depending on how much it increases by.

Also curious at what folks think a mechanic would charge to do something like this.
It's iffy. I'm about a half tank gone, but it's at 19.5 MPG in the COMFORT setting. It could be the lead foot from hearing how good it sounds or the computer is still trying to adjust to figure out the air/fuel ratio. It may take a few tanks to normalize. I'll update when i get through this tank.

Would not go to a mechanic. This is so easy my kid could put it in. You won't hurt the car if you follow the directions.

Thanks for the vote of confidence.

Ah man it must sound deep if you are putting the pedal down to hear it.

I'll make a decision on buying it once you get done with this tank.

I've noticed the comfort setting is the least economical when comparing it to eco and smart. That could be a wrinkle too.

I think that ECO could possibly be the worst. I forget who tested the theory, may have been Top Gear or The Grand Tour, but they found out that on one car, ECO had better performance than the SPORT mode. It ended up burning more MPG than the COMFORT setting the car had. I have a feeling it could be the same with this car.

That's good to know!

I've found ECO the most sluggish. I translated that into the most fuel economical.

Also noticed Comfort engages all 4 wheels when accelerating from a full stop.

Eco and smart only engage the front wheels on takeoff.

Interesting. I've been mostly in Comfort mode and finding it highly responsive. I think it's great for the default drive mode.

Comfort mode is by far the sweet spot in terms of enjoyable drive modes.

Most fuel efficient - I'd guess Eco or Smart.

Mine's never really left Comfort mode.20201209_125955.webp

That's solid fuel efficiency. Do you have the air intake mentioned here installed though?
No, I would never do one of those although this one seems better than most.

Revisiting this K&N CAI idea, man the Telly sounds good with this. 👍

Looking back at my previous post, I'm shocked that I was enjoying Comfort mode.... then again I posted that on December 8th only having the Telly for six days during break-in and had not yet unleashed the full potential of Sport Mode 🤣

Anyone have audio of how these things sound with Telly in Sport Mode?
