Do Nappa Gray seats stain?

Wife wants the nappa gray seats. Read a comment about blue jeans staining them. I'm scared because we have kids . also i like the black look.

Do the gray seats stain? Do they look good with the ambient light (sx)?

No jean staining on my 2020 SXP Grey Nappa seats after 2 years. And I wear blue jeans a lot. I have used leather cleaner/conditioner twice on the seats. I did not do the leather XPEL coating some dealers offer.

You are in luck, I recently recorded these clips for reference. Grey seats look awesome with interior lights. Was trying to capture the ambient lights dimming when shifting from Park to Drive gear. Footwell and cup lights stay the same brightness.

Do not get that color. I have the 2022 nightfall edition with Napa gray and the seat has stained. I’m am so upset. I’ve only had the vehicle 6 months. I’ve had two dealerships tell me the answer is to not wear jeans. That is absolutely ridiculous. I’ve paid too much money Defoe this to happen and not to be able to wear jeans.

We have an SX-P with the Nappa Grey and initially a new pair of blue jeans did stain the leather. We then found this product kit and it not only removed the stain but has kept it from being stained since. It is now 7 months old.

COLOURLOCK Leather Shield Clean & Care Kit​

I put two applications of the shield to prevent stains. It also reduces friction of the leather so it will reduce stress on the seams.

This is not necessarily a Kia problem as it happens with other makes too. At this point you can try to remove it and prevent future stains by using certain products like above.

Depends on the material or if you sweat a lot in the summer. Took this off the Telluride Owner's Facebook page of an owner who had stain issues. Don't know how or if she was able to remove them completely. That's why I have black in my SXP/NF. Black leather is very forgiving by hiding stains.

Wow. Having black, yes it hides stains but shows up dust, dog hair and any light artifacts.

That looks extreme. Like they bought a jean jacket, never washed it and immediately rubbed off all the dye from the fabric onto the seat.

Yes, those must of been some pretty high waisted jeans. Or someone just loves compete denim outfits.
