• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I would love to find something that does not take up the two main cupholders! Vent like holders don't look like they will work, it will restrict viewing of touchscreen. Also not from the dash. Any good ideas? Also, any cup holder inserts to help keep them clean? TIA & Merry Christmas! I will be installing the Tux Mats Santa brought me tomorrow!

What I use. You can buy a suction cup for windshield if you want. I transfer from my Tacoma to other vehicles. It's a beast and well made.

That is one beefy holder! Where on the telluride do you mount it? Any chance you have another phone and can post a picture of this on in the car?

I can do that possibly. You'd have to mount on windshield. For Tacoma they made a vent mount which looks incredible. It's all compatible with Ram Mounts so I'm sure you could do cup holder or something else baeed on what you find.

Awesome, got it. No need for the pic.

Ram mount is what I would use...

Anyone know if there is anything behind the dash trim that's at the base of the A-pillar trim; between the pillar and the top of the dash is a hard plastic trim piece with a flat surface (pictured below with the arrow highlighting... sorry 'bout the dark pic)?

A Ram Diamond Base 1" Ball Mount 1577371009502.webp fits there. With 3M tape on the back and a couple of 1/2", black, pan-head sheet metal screws, would be a good place to mount - as long a there is nothing behind that trim panel. Not confident just the 3M tape would be enough.

Kids & grandkids live in MN - illegal there to have anything suction-cupped to the windshield... besides, Ram mounted this way would be a bit more stable than the suction cup, and never have to worry about the suction cup letting go in a turn (been there, done that - was quite exciting in a right turn with the window open...)

Here is mine, I have a magnet panel on the back of my iPhone case and this holder. 48AAB68D-E107-4CEA-8187-D57952C134DD.webp

Oh, that's pretty cool, never saw one attached to the lighter like that.

Thank you wasn't even thinking about an adapter like that! I was searching for options around clamping against the console grip on the passenger side with a coil like arm, this is perfect!

Yeah, it’s great. It was from Target in their automotive department I believe though I have seen similar at Walmart and BestBuy too. It adds an extra USB too which I like so now I have my phone held, wires to the CarPlay USB port, my wife can plug her phone in and I still have an extra for anything else she brings or to charge my headphones if needed
