Is it worth switching from the 2" Truxxx spacers to these springs?

Owned the Telluride for less than 3 hours before I installed the Eibach 2" lift with new wheels and tires.
Tires: Fallen Wildpeaks AT3W 265/65/18
Wheels: Avid.1 AV-44 (Cheapest good looking wheels I could find) rated 1600lbs each, $192, matte black, +35mm offset, 18x8.5

There is plenty of rubbing now that I had the alignment done. I'll take a heat gun to it next week.

Next project, blacking it out.

I've owned lowered BMW sedans and I can see the difference in virtually no space between the wheel and the arch. With an suv and the Kia, not so much. The only one that will notice is you.

Did you find where exactly it's rubbing? Is it in the inner wheel well in front when tires are fully clocked in either direction?

How about when you have passengers in the 3rd row or heavy cargo? Any issues?

The rub was more pronounced once I had the alignment done and they fixed the camber. When you turn left it rubs on the driver side behind the wheel on the inside and then on the passenger side it rubs on the front edge down low. When you turn right it just rubs on the passenger side behind the wheel on the inside. I had to use the heat gun and also there is a chunk of pinked metal coming straight out pushing the plastic forward so I ended up taking a flapper wheel to that. It still runs but it's not as pronounced and only when I'm fully locked.

No rubbing in the rear, The morning after the install I drove it to St. George loaded up for a weeklong trip with my wife and 4 kids.

How difficult was the spring install? I'm pretty mechanically inclined and have done quite a bit of my own mods in the past.

It's a very standard suspension mod. Any YouTube video on how to swap springs shows you exactly what you need to do. I would recommend 265/60/18 if you don't want it to rub a lot. I was able to use the heat gun to decrease the amount of rubbing but it's still there.

The Truxxx lift kit I have installed came with sway bar extensions (2009-2024 Kia/Hyundai Sway Bar Extensions #306001 - Truxxx.com). Should I take them off or leave them on if I switch to these springs?

You'll need to remove the extensions - those are for the Truxxx lifts to work with the Nivomat self-leveling system.

The EIbach lift springs will work with the stock suspension, including the self-leveling system. Only the lowering springs aren't compatible with the Nivomat system.

I got the Eibach springs installed. Compared to the Truxxx 2" lift, the on road ride quality is the same. The springs are better at handling the larger bumps, like speedbumps and larger. Dirt road performance is smoother. The extra 2" of spring travel seems to be noticeable. I would definitely recommend the springs over the spacers.

If you don't mind the ask, how much did the install run you?

I have the Truxxx 2" lift with the shock extender pins. Just wore out my second set of rear OEM shocks. Thinking about the Eibach springs and KYB shocks.

How to the stock shocks look with the Eibach springs?

Are the Eibach springs any stiffer? Any weight in the trunk or on the hitch rack and she nearly bottoms out the suspension.

The Eibach springs don't feel any stiffer. Do you have the tow package with the self leveling shocks? I've had it fully loaded and never had a problem with bottoming out. You may want to look at air bags for the rear if you're squatting that much. Maybe you're exceeding the GVWR?

I did a short road trip with our 4 small kids, with the trunk full of our stuff and it was fine with the springs. I've also done a bike rack on a aftermarket hitch, so roughly 90lbs hanging out there with no issues as well. I'm guessing the springs will actually help extend shock life since it's taking more of the load.

Note on the Eibach spacers: anything less than 1" may not work with (most) aftermarket wheels.

Originally got 15mm (0.59") and the factory studs were protruding out still, along with the top of the nuts. Didn't clear the KMC wheels I'm currently using.

Eibach sent me the 25mm (0.98") spacers and those worked just fine - nuts sat inside the spacers and the one or two treads cleared my wheels.

Their "fine print" for sales for spacers also say they DO NOT accept returns or exchanges for them, so if you're running aftermarket wheels: you're safer with 25mm or wider spacers.
