Electric Mirror issues?

Has anyone run into issues with the function of their electric mirrors? My passenger mirror works great some days (folds in and out) and then other days not at all. Wondering if this is an isolated thing or if others have experienced it?? (I can just picture it working flawlessly while I’m trying to explaining the issue to the dealership..)

The motor in my driver side mirror went out and stopped working. Took it to the dealership and they had to order a new one. Taking it in tomorrow to get it replaced.

Did it go 100% dead all at once? Or did you have a limbo period where it worked sometimes and not at others?
Kinda concerning.. only have at it for 6 months.

Have you taken it to the dealer to get checked?

I've heard stories before of folks accidentally bumping the mirrors and then manually folding them back by hand; obviously not good for the motor.

No — haven’t taken it in yet—will make an appointment. No bumps or manual folding.

Was just curious to hear from others — as my fear was that I wouldn’t be able to reciprocate the issue on the spot at the dealer (e.g. it’s working fine right now)

Out of the blue the mirror would fold in about a quarter of the way and I could hear the motor keep running for about 5 seconds. Like it wasn't catching. I've only had mine a month an a half.
