If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Just pricing out what the wife and I will get when it's time to order. Are the differences worth roughly 3k to go up to SX? From what I can tell the biggest things would be HBA, low profile roof rails, Upgraded seat with memory system, BVM, PDW, and SVM. Also can the low profile roof rails hold a cargo carrier for luggage or would those need upgrade to cross bars?

Both have low profile roof rails, and both would need cross rails or a luggage rack to really be useful.

For me the 7" TFT screen and BVM/SVM was worth it. The other upgrades are Harman/kardon audio, seats with additional features, fog lights, homelink, second moonroof.

Value is a personal decision. If you haven't had the experience yet, you should try test driving a car with the SX features. We ended up switching our EXP order to SX because the value made sense. The surround view and blind spot cameras were worth the safety upgrade. Prestige didn't add value for our needs, but it does for most people.

I wouldn't say that SX adds any real safety but it does increase the premium feel for the vehicle. Surround view is not a safety feature. It is a parking feature. Also the blind spot cameras felt weird to me during a test drive. Maybe you get used to using them over time but I think the blind spot alert works just as well in terms of actual safety.

I'd personally opt for a SX without NF instead of an EX NF for an extra $1700, which for the extra features seems like a bargain. You'd get black wheels, just not the darkened trim. $1300 seems a little pricey for just darkened trim on the SX but at the same time, $1300 on a $46k+ vehicle isn't a huge difference either.

If you and your wife will be sharing driving duties, nothing like 2 memory settings on SX so you don’t have to keep changing the settings. 😃

Dual sunroofs and the parking assistance such as auto lowering side mirrors and 360 view cameras for tricky spots.

Exactly what i was going to suggest. Highly consider this option.
In my personal opinion, depending on what color you’re getting, night fall isnt even worth the added cost. Save the money on that, but go for the sx.

I went through this calculus a while back as well. Ultimately, we ended up with the SXP NF, for her the memory seats and upgraded leather were the biggies but for me it was the dual moon and the surround view. And honestly it was still cheaper than the pilot we were considering. It’s our first new vehicle since 2008 so the extra for NF over EX-P, we just said YOLO.
