• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I apologize if this has already been asked; I couldn't find a thread for it. We just had our first major snow storm since owning my Tele. (I did let her know she wasn't in Georgia anymore). We also get a fair bit of freezing rain and ice during the winter. Is there a way to turn the automatic motor on the exterior mirrors off temporarily? I can for see burning the motor out if it gets frozen in place. Thanks.

Only way to leave it unfolded is to not lock your car using the smart key or door handle button it seems.

As a workaround, try manually locking the drivers door on the inside door handle then close the door.

I will give that a try thank you. It was below freezing last night, when I walked up to the car this morning it groaned a bit when the mirrors were unfolding from the car. I am sure that is not an inexpensive part to replace.

To prevent this you can also disable Welcome Mirror setting in your gauge cluster menu under Convenience. Then only when you have cleared off the ice around the mirrors you can unlock/start the car to unfold.

Your suggestion worked perfectly. Thank you.
