If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I'm interested in Leasing the Telluride S model in black. I just left the Kia Dealership in Fairlawn NJ (Jack Daniels). If I put a down payment of $2000, they are asking for $589 a month for three years 10k miles. Paying over $20k for the life of the lease just doesn't make sense. The sticker price was 38k.

What are your thoughts.

Bad deal. Don’t negotiate in terms of monthly payment on a lease though, makes it hard to see what you are paying.
Ask them to tell you the residual, money factor (interest rate) and purchase price. Those are the only variables. If leasing though Kia the interest and residual are fixed. Some dealers will go outside the manufacturer on a lease so they can upcharfe more.

I wouldn’t go back to this dealer.

Not even close, yet to be sure you will have to post all the figures. Purchase price, incentives, lease fees, residual, money factor, etc.

Also, there is a tool you can use on Kia.com to calculate your lease payment....

Yeah not good. They had an s or Lx (35k sticker) at one my dealerships for $399 a month - $500 down 3 year lease. I’ve also seen an ex Awd (40k sticker ) 2 year lease for $299 a month - $3000 down.
My plan is to get the EX Awd for $425 a month - $500 down tops when I’m ready to lease.

The interest =money factor... is a fixed. But is on a tier system and depends on credit. It also changes on what part of the US you are leasing Telluride . You are dead on with everything else.

Good morning, they didn't check my credit (it's excellent). They mentioned that because the car is in "high demand" there're charging that monthly payment. Basically take it or leave. They also said to come back in a couple of months, maybe the demand is not so high.

Good morning, when I use Kia's calculator, I'm at $387/month. I told them that and they flat out said you can't rely on that. I totally understand that, but why almost double? With this being said, they never checked my credit (it's excellent). I left a bad review, let's see if they reach out.
