• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Your radar sensor is probably not working. It's either defective or something is blocking it. Contact your dealer if nothing is blocking it.

Check out this thread too.

Have had no such msgs on mine in 1500 miles, HOWEVER....have had similar msgs on previous vehicles and it was always during crappy weather with road spray, or other stuff messing up the sensors.

That is probably it since it has been wet and snowy today. Question. Do I have to deal with this issue every time it is crappy out? What a nuisance if so.

Where is the sensor? Thanks

Front collision ( at least on some vehicles) uses not only the kind of sensor indicated in the post above but also the cam built into the windshield....the computer analyzes the data then activates the system.....and, yes, it cruddy weather there will always be those issues....at least in my experience with Mercedes, Ford and now KIA ( no issues yet )

Just an update. Issue has not come back since Saturday’s very crappy weather. Has snowed since, no issues. We’ll see.

I had the same issue on a snowy day, so I cleaned the camera under Kia logo with tissue. Problem solved.

This just happened to me on my way to work. I live in Buffalo, NY and it was snowing like a bastard. I'm hoping it has to do with the weather and not the car itself. I just got this thing 2 months ago!

Do you have ice/snow or any other debris here?

I am having the same issue on my new 2021 Telluride SX. I live in NJ and wondered if my front license plate was creating the issue, but then it'll reset itself... So frustrating- I don't even have 1k miles on it yet.
