• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... When I bought my Telly from a dealer in Texas, they said they would send my title paperwork, I thought, to my local DMV. Turns out they sent it to a local Title service company in my small town who, for the longest time, would not return my calls. Finally a lady contacted me last week from said company and had me send a picture of my veteran's plate I wanted to transfer. Today I finally got my title and registration and just in the nick of time since my Texas Temporary tag was expiring in 3 days. I was able to transfer by veterans' tag to the Telly today! So great not to have that stupid paper tag on there any longer!

Texas is either behind on processing new vehicles or something but lately it’s been taking forever to get these things done. My dealer told it takes too long they might have to give me another temporary paper tag

Some states already provide a grace period following the actual expiration date bc we as a society naturally like to pay things on the due date or later. In addition to this with covid, most states are extending expiration dates for things like registration and drivers licenses due to longer processing times from being shut down or short staffed this year.
This information should be posted on your state's dmv website.

My dealer sent a new temp tag and overnight! The first one expires tomorrow.

Not sure if my state does (New Mexico) or not. At any rate, I now have my real plate on the Telly so it's all good.

I could have gotten another temp tag from my own state but you have to call ahead and make an appointment. That was nice of your dealer to overnight one to you.

I just got my title paperwork last week and completed registration on Friday morning. This is the longest I have ever seen it take to get title papers. Had less than 5 working days left on my temp tag. Got a Toyota Camry in 2016 for my wife and picked up her paperwork at the dealer less than a week later. Don't have any idea why it is taking this long. I think that the pandemic is an easy excuse for nothing getting done. This summer I had a package sitting at the USPS distribution center for over three weeks as tracked by my app. I was told by the local office there was nothing they could do. And they refused to give me the phone number to anyone at the distribution office to check on it or a supervisor to talk to. I had paid a lot of money to expedite a package from the east coast. Calling BS on USPS.
