Yes it covers the dead pedal. They are much nicer than the old westhertechs I had in my accadia. A softer plastic also.

I want to get good floormats to protect the car, and there a lot of choices on Amazon: OEM, "TOUGH Pro", "Tux Mat", etc. Does anyone have a good experience with a particular company that they'd like to share in terms of fit, quality, etc? Thanks!

I gave these a try, very happy with them - very heavy duty and a great fit. For $120.00 - you can't go wrong. Only in black when I purchased.

Anyone else experiencing their driver's side TuxMat retaining "pin" loosening in the carpet? I have the older (original) version of their mats and I'm not very happy with the retention system (or lack of using the OEM retention points). Seems to me like a rush to market on the originals as I see now their new offering uses the OEM anchor points.

One point to note; IMHO, the purpose of winter floor mats is not only to protect the carpet from the wear and tear but to protect the floor pan from the chemical attack of road salt and water... so if your mats don't contain the liquid well enough they will end up trapping it beneath the mat...

I also got the WT HPs and they are very nice. The new HPs are softer rubber which was exactly what I was looking for. Great coverage. Looking forward to see how they perform through the Chicago winter.

The only thing I would change is I wish they were longer and covered more between the seat & the door. That space collects alot junk.

Go with carpet. I’ve got Tux Matts because I live in snow country. I switch to carpet in fair weather.

I have carpeted Kia mats in Pennsylvania and it's fine. Just vacuum them in the spring after the salt season is over.

I've had all-seasons in previous vehicles and they always look worn, stained, etc. Carpet will soak up moisture, hold on to salt/sand, and can be vacuumed to look like new. Last car was 5 years of carpet, no issues. I do garage my cars, though.

Someone on the forum was selling a set of carpeted cabin+cargo mats and it was a deal too good to pass up!

+ for the Smartliners. The 2022 fit great for me except the third row took a little bit of maneuvering to get it in place. Already been tested by some snow and mush and they contain it nicely.
