• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Has anyone used a foam cannon to wash their cars? Looking at getting one but I’m not familiar with them. I have a 1400 psi pressure washer currently.

I use one to wash my cars, just picked up a cheap one to start: Amazon.com: DUSICHIN SFL-001 Foam Cannon Snow Foam Lance Pressure Washer Jet Wash Quick Release Adjustable 1/4" Fitting Male: Garden & Outdoor
It works really well though just fill it with about 2-3 inches of the car wash soap in the bottom and fill the rest with water.

  • Rinse the car first with your pressure washer
    • start with the wheel wells and the wheels
  • Foam cannon and let it sit for a bit
  • If you have bugs or a lot of build up
    • take a new clean microfiber that has been placed in a warm bucket of clean water and the same wash soap and gently wipe down that area
  • Rinse the car with your pressure washer again to remove soap

I use a foam cannon I got from Adams Polishes. But, the instructions above are perfect! Chemical guys and Adams Polishes sell excellent soaps for foam cannon. Check out this video.

1400 psi is kind of low, but the more important number is you GPM.. if either of those are too low, you won't get a very good foam if any. Check your gallons per minute.
