• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... So I have never seen the forward collision warning or assistance go on. I even tried testing it with a large cardboard box. Does anyone else have issues with this? Wondering if it needs to be recalibrated.

I've seen and experience it a few times. It works and worked for me.

I'm assuming that you have these options enabled already.
Just curious to how your cardboard test was done? How fast were you going?

Have a friend sit in their car in front of you while stepping on their brake. Come to a complete stop behind them. Then completely let go of your brake pedal to allow the car to inch forward. Warning will go off.

Simulates a situation where you are intending to start driving before the leading car at a stop light.

Thanks for the feedback. I setup a box 4 ft high and 2.5 feet wide in the street and drove towards it over 5 mph without the pressing the brakes.

If it didn’t look like a car or a person, it’s probably not going to work. The car is trained to recognize certain things to avoid. It assumes you aren’t driving headfirst into a wall.
