• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... We went to pickup our Telluride today SXP, dune brown seats after a 5 month wait. When looking over the car one of the seats the bottom side bolster part where the vent holes are, had abnormal wear like the seat was pulled too much during manufacturing or something heavy was placed on it for awhile that caused the seat to wear. Its about 3 inches big and pretty noticeable, don't have pictures.

We asked for the issue to be written down and signed off by them, so we can get a new seat cover. They didn't have a tech that could review the issue so we are getting some feedback tomorrow, we couldn't take the car off the lot.

Looking for some input, if the dealer for some reason refuses to give us a notice in writing what should we do? If we put in a complaint to Kia would they come back and say it's normal ware and tear even though the car just came off the lot like this? Does anyone have experience going though KIA for issues like these?

If you caught the defect during inspection of the vehicle before you bought it, you do not have to accept the vehicle, even if you closed the deal but never drove it out of the lot it is still their problem to correct no different from a cracked windshield or a dent. Take pictures for your own protection. Sorry you are going thru this, best of luck.

It's under warranty, I wouldn't think twice. A lot of new cars come back with small issues at the first oil change. Just bring it to them then and it'll be covered.
