• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Your Telluride visited Telluride?

I need to take my Telly to its namesake spot on the map.

I will try to visit Kia’s Mojave test track and Kia Motors Design in Irvine, CA in addition to West Point Georgia and Telluride, Colorado, all definitely on the list! 👍

What a nice drive back to San Diego with all those amazing stops.

Great photos!

Yes, it was important to go to The Motherland, stay a night at the Hotel Telluride, of course. Things close down 4/1 to 5/31, post ski season. Found one burger joint and one bakery open....and bars. Lots of gone fishin on store fronts.

The back side of Telluride south to Utah was a great scenic drive. All the lakes in Colorado, half full...not good for the west. Wanted to go to four corners AZ, UT, NM, CO...two arms, two legs, one each in four states simultaneously tourist pic. Navajo & Ute Nations preferred less covid tourists, it was closed.

Nice break in for the Telluride, no cruise control.

Wow, those are some stunning photos! Car's pretty cool, too. :) Congrats!

Amazing.

Great idea to post maps and routes of our Telly road trips, and I’ve never used cruise control, prefer active driving and Sport Mode, occasionally switching to Eco and Snow + Lock (under 25mph) if the situation calls for it.

Tried lane keep once and turned it off after the steering wheel fought me when I tried to safely swerve around tree branches extending into the lane.

Never again.

I make the judgements and decisions when it comes to the steering wheel, brake pedal, gas pedal, etc.

I do like the rear cross-traffic alerts, the light-to-beep blind spot alerts, proximity sensors, cameras that make backing into parking spots a breeze, and forward collision detect/alert/auto braking.

The HUD and rain-sensing wipers are helpful and keep my visual focus on the road.

The LED headlights and fog-lights work like a dream, have plenty of throw and focus and are properly-aimed for maximum Telly safety.

The auto-high/low beam feature by pushing the stalk forward is great. Oncoming drivers see the automatic switch from
high-to-low and don’t flash me with their high beams.

Most of all, loving the big, bold, boxy design, the exterior and interior aesthetics, the long aluminum/chrome trim pieces and perfect body lines, the bronze, brown, dark green and black flake of Dark Moss, the Dune Brown Nappa Leather, the puppy-soft dark gray premium cloth microfiber headliner, the more-than-adequate engine, the transmission, the responsiveness in Sport Mode, coasting in Eco Mode and Snow Mode in the snow ❄️🌨 ☃️

CA to AZ to NM to TX to LA to MS to AL to FL trip.

On the way back, FL to West Point, GA, to SC to NC to TN to KY to MO to IA to MN to SD to MT to ID to Virginia City, Carson City and Zephyr Cove, NV on Lake Tahoe where I first turned off traction control in a wide-open empty/icy/snowy parking lot during a blizzard 😋

Maybe I should hit Telluride, CO on the biggest detour in the world between South Dakota and Montana 🤣

Or maybe just make another trip to the namesake location once I’m situated in FL and SD.

How was hotel Telluride? ☝️🥳

Whew, you might have to pick out a 2nd Telluride at West Point as a back up, lots of States in that plan.

Yeah, turned off lane keep, went with Smart mode, got about 26 mpg.

Telluride Hotels, Lodging & Ski Resorts | The Hotel Telluride | Boutique Hotels Colorado Is about 20 years old, set back off the main road as you enter town. This time of year has least expensive rates, summer doubles, triples, then again late December. Accommodations were good, outdoor decks/seating in each room, really is built for ski season/lodge feel. Secure underground parking, enough room for T Rex to maneuver.
