• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Front-End Friday

She's a Beaut! But they're standing way to close. J/K 😜

@ZonaRide:

Totally agree ;)

I do a quick read of anything within a 5-foot radius of my Telly.

Anything.

Squirrels, birds, my family members, friends, acquaintances, random strangers at the gas station or supermarket or any parking garage/lot

If they have any visible metal belt buckles or kids swinging skateboards around, anything that could possibly accidentally smack against the clear coat, I become Mama Bear and get between them and my precious baby!

Sounds unhinged, right?

Good!

California did this to me. I need to leave ASAP to regain some semblance of sanity :)

Fresh wash and shine with ceramic coating.

Love the shine of the ceramic! can't wait to do mine...
Is there some kind of recommended waiting period before doing that to a new car? Or is it just a matter of getting around to it?

It was suggested that you don't need to wait and better sooner than later...

I'm just running my Telly hard with no ceramic or PPF and she looks great clean or dirty, but I do have the WeatherTech wash/dry/clay/wax detailing kit when I need my occasional therapy a.k.a. washing my baby :)

Got my kit of wash products too... just waiting for a good day to bust them out...

OK good. My silver/dune Telly comes in next week and I bought some Turtle Wax ceramic spray today.

I'm really happy with the WT kit I got for Christmas.

The towels, the cleaning products, the clay and wax and the detailing cloths.

My favorite item is the wheel cleaner liquid in a convenient spray bottle.

I'm going to run out of that stuff the quickest but it's the true definition of better living through chemistry, I mean, besides coffee :)

I hear overcast days are best.

I don't like washing my baby when it's sunny out because I want to dry her, not the freaking oppressive sun that leaves spots.

This is a problem in Southern California.

Will you have any windows of opportunity coming up in the Chicago area? :)

I go mine coated as soon as I could. That being said, they should perform paint correction before they apply the coating.
