Front Runner Slimline 2 Platform Roof Rack (Prototype)

I got mine installed, but I just realized mine isn't installed correctly. Missing a spacer on the back end, and the feet aren't placed correctly. Looks like I was missing one instruction booklet. Probably why I had such a hard time getting it installed.

Good news with the fairing no whistle, and no noticeable noise while driving on the highway.

The rear feet should have two spacers per foot from what mine looks like.

If you need replacement or missing parts Front Runner is really good about correcting the issue abs getting you the stuff you need ASAP!

Fixed it. It was way easier to install with the correct setup and wasn't too bad to install solo. Now I just gotta decide on new wheels.

The racks are selling fast. Already out of stock!

I’d you’re getting a roof top tent. I highly suggest getting Front Runners, Quick Release brackets
Can you point us the quick release bracket and another other hardware needed if I want to mount a condor XL tent? Thanks.

I'm wanting to order the Slimline Rack for our Telluride that is on order. So far I have the Truxxx lift, wheels and tires, but no Telluride.
So I understand that the sunroof is not able to be opened with the rack installed, correct me if I'm wrong.
Would the sunroof hit the crossbars or ???
I'm wondering if I could just leave out one crossbar during install to allow the sunroof to open. Anyone able to comment? Or does it hit somewhere else?
I'm mostly interested in a couple bicycles and paddleboards up top, seems that if I were missing one or two cross bars in the front third may not be a bid deal, but I'd love to hear from someone who can confirm.
Thank you.

i never really open mine since it just opens to cross bars. Mine does clear but you can more the slats around if you’re worried about it hitting.

Thank you. Wife loves to drive with sunroof open. So I don't want to take a chance of her trying to open it into some cross bars and breaking the glass.
When you say you can open yours, are you talking about opening to vent, or opening all the way open?

I can confirm on mine you can open the sunroof all the way or to vent. Opened and closed mine a few times without issue.

Correction to my earlier post. You can open the sunroof about halfway. It makes contact with the bars. Didn't realize it stops since i never use the sun roof. You can definitely just move around the bars if you want to use the sunroof.

Sorry just saw this.

I have the condor xl too and I have it mounted to my rack using the quick release brackets from FrontRunner

Really nice overlanding setup overall! With the rack and RTT together, how tall is it from roof to the top of the tent? I want to get the same setup but have a feeling my garage height won’t fit. 😒
🙏 thank you!

I want to say I am about 7.5ft give it take a few inches with that setup.

The Truxx liftkit, bigger tires, and the roof rack put me around 6’3” (measured it for local parking garages). The RTT when closed is about 13” and the RTT quick release brackets add another 2”

Only start a build thread if you want a bunch of identical tellurides driving around! You have a lot of great ideas and clean rig.

My quasi-overlanding build. I mainly been building mine out to be a good road tripper for long camping trips with a packed car. The Thule XT Force L overhangs and doesn't sit nicely on the rack so I had to add some rails + offset. Add in a Pelican v800, and I can fit a decent amount of stuff. If I don't bring the Pelican I can fit 2 kayaks or a canoe with extra rails + overhang. Take away the Thule/Pelican and I can toss 4 kayaks or 2 kayaks + canoe. I'm really happy with the flexibility.

Waiting on my awning to arrive, and some brackets to mount a fishing rod tube. Last major mod is to swap the tires with Falken Wildpeak AT Trails. Sticking with the oems 20s, gravel roads is the worst i do in the midwest. Debating on a hitched mounted spare tire carrier for long trips. I hate the idea of not having a full size spare for long trips.

What awning did you get?

Also, FrontRunner has some Thule adapters i dont know if those will work with your Thule box.

A full size spare fits under the car where the donut is. I have a 31” tire under mine. A hitch carrier will definitely add extra weight you don’t need.
