• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Fuel filler lid question

Isn't fuel filler lid supposed to be locked when all the doors are locked? I can close and open it no matter if the doors are locked or unlocked.

I just don't want someone to tamper with it when doors are locked.
My EX fuel filler lid will not open unless the driver door is unlocked and closed.

Where can I buy a locking gas cap for my Telluride?

With drivers door unlocked, push on the fuel door corner

The question is why doesn't Kia use capless fuel fillers when they have been prevalent in some brands like Dodge for several years?

I personally would rather have a cap, easier to replace and cheaper if/when that flap gives out in the neck. I have a ford with the capless and sometimes it can get dirty and not seal correctly and give you the CEL, a simple in and out of the gas nozzle a few times takes care of it though. Some I know it has gone bad and is a couple hundred to fix if not under warranty. A cap cost a few bucks.

That's understandable I guess, but I've have capless fillers in my Charger and Grand Cherokee for 8 years now and never had an issue. It's one of those things you get used to and kind of miss when you don't have it anymore.

Different question... Has anyone found a suitable replacement filler door? Something along the lines of what you see on the Jeeps and Challengers, with a carbon fiber appearance. Had one on my Durango.

If you are unable to find a replacement door, wrapping in carbon fiber vinyl may be another option. Probably cheaper too.
