• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I noticed today on my way home that I had only 27 miles to empty but had no alert. I am normally very aware of fuel level. Wondering why there is no alert when fuel is low?

There is, you just didn’t make it there yet.

Wow! What do you have to be at “0”? - LOL!
I never run mine down low, but I’m sure you were probably very, very close to getting the alert. I don’t recall exactly, but I think the one time I actually got an alert it was around the 25 miles to empty mark. It’s pretty conservative, zero ≠ no gas left.

Hey, thanks. I was surprised since I usually never go below 1/4 tank. Thanks again

In our SX it even asks you if you'd like to look for the nearest gas station, just in case you're super irresponsible and run it down to a few miles til empty. Lol
I'll have to pay more attention next time at what mileage the alert pops up at

Cool thanks. At 1700 miles and still have not figured out everything. Great ride. Great choice.

Ha. I’ve wondered the same thing. Never really gotten below 50 yet, but it certainly crossed my mind

If you are referring to the orange/yellow indicator next to the fuel gauge, maybe it is triggered by actual fuel level volumes remaining in the tank.

Whereas the range, or number of miles left till empty on the top of the instrument cluster is simply an estimated mile range you have left based on average driving habits.

In other words, the two may not be related function wise.

I'm curious how many gallons of gas you need to fill up your tank? Mine comes on around 30-40 miles and I usually put in around 16 plus gallons. Two days ago, it came on and I was not paying attention-few minutes later it was at 0 and I went about 2 miles and put in around 17.2 gallons, far less than the 18.8 gallon tank can handle.

This past Sunday my light went off at 27 miles. Filled up at 14 miles with 18.5 gal to fill. This was my first fill up since purchasing the Telly back in late August.

So you put in 18.5 gallons in a 18.8 gallon tank? Wow that would scare the shit out of me cause I do a lot of rural travelling for work. Glad mine comes on a similar time and I'm not adding 18 plus gallons of gas.

While we are talking about gas, are all the dealers selling them with full tanks of fuel like other brands?

I have noticed that "near empty" (after visual warnings) I only get 16-17 gallons in. I thought it had a 18+ gallon tank but never get close to that when filling.

Had my fuel light come on for the first time today. Was 23 miles left. I liked that it asked me if I’d like it to search for a nearby gas station.

Thanks for the info.
