• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Gravity Gray vs Everlasting Silver SX

I know this is an old thread but I’m struggling between getting ES vs GG. this is on an ex without nightfall. I originally wanted the ES but I can get the GG 3 months sooner but something keeps bringing me back to ES. I think it’s because the GG looks like every other grey suv. Thoughts?

To me, you can’t lose. Both are nice. ES is more distinctive, but the blend from paint to lower body plastic is better with GG.

To me, the dark plastic lower body that doesn’t match the rest of the paint was one of the very few examples of “cheap SUV” that I could find in the design. That’s why I didn’t go ES. But if this doesn’t bother you, and you want to avoid having the same GG that’s on every explorer and Audi on the road, then that’s understandable, too.

I cannot comment on which may hide dirt more.

I actually liked that the ES had a distinction between the body and lower plastic. But I can see what you mean. Do you think the GG looks really close to black? From videos it seems very dark which I don’t love. I can’t find a dealer that has both so it’s hard to compare

Like you, I was going back and forth between the ES and GG. Finally decided on GG, then eventually changed to WG. The GG is dark, it's a dark charcoal gray. The charcoal gray looks nice, but I am wanting the Nightfall and I feel Nightfall stands out more on the WG. If you are able to wait for the ES, and that's the color you really like, I say just wait, it'll be worth it. Like you, I could get the GG sooner, but I know every time I see a WG on the street I'm gonna be mad at myself for not waiting a little longer.

I never thought of GG and black being that similar, though in limited or shadowed lighting, I could imagine it.

Any reason for getting GG in 3 months Sooner. I am going to place order for EX GG with Gray interior. Looking for darker color to go with 18" Alloy wheels and Chrome ascents. With NF, all of them are nice.

Also, EX with Gray has a Gray lower dash compared to SX which has darker lower dash (based on pictures on KIA website). Don't know why KIA does so many different configuration.

Short version: There is a dealer by me that is charging over sticker but has it available while I’m reordering my silver one.

Long version: I ordered back in august and my deadline kept getting pushed by sussman kia so I decided to take everyone’s advice and order from i25 and have it shipped. But they’re quoting 3 to 5 months. Meanwhile I can pick up the GG from another dealer but they’re charging over sticker and won’t let me reserve on the phone. So I have to drive 4 hours to go reserve the car, and then another 4 when I want to pick it up.

Not loving the dealer, so I’m leaning towards waiting but we have a baby due in March and it would be great to not have to Uber to the hospital and have the car for a baby moon.

Not sure if this will help?!? I just took this picture today of the two greys.
