• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Hello Everyone,

I'm curious to see if anyone has had luck with bypassing a HK amp in the SX trim Telluride and install an aftermarket subwoofer/amp with a Line output converter.

I had a 2022 Kia Sorento without the HK system and that was super easy to do. I just purchased a 2024 Kia Telluride SX Xline with the Harmon Kardon system and don't mind the speakers for now but I do want to add an amp/subwoofer. I do not want to use the HK subwoofer and will detach those connections and will not tap off of that connection for my aftermarket options because I've read everywhere NOT to do that for crossover reasons.

Ideas? Success? Pictures? of those and the adventure to get the job done on this topic?

Thanks

Hello, Might want to talk to the "experts" at Cambridge Audio. They sell tons of aftermarket stereos and try to be able to recommend exactly what you need and what will fit. Likely they will know.

Search "Yet Another H/K System Upgrade" in the Interior Discussion subforum

Do you mean Crutchfield? Home speakers would look a little goofy
