• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I'm sure some of you have done this. Just trying to see if it makes sense financially. I think I have a dealer that will sell at MSRP to me, but I don't know how to value mine. It's an EX premium package with tow packageand carvana can't find it.

Have any of you done this and did you trade in or did you sell another way?

You may be better off selling it on the open market. Depending on the number of miles, you could probably get back what you paid for it. In fact, it might be worth a try to offer it for $2500—$3000 above what you paid, to see if you get any bites. A hassle, but, could be worth it in the long run. It is a sellers market right now.

How does that work? People don’t have 50k just lying around

You don't have to go to a dealership to get an auto loan.

I am about to do this when my SX comes in next week. Difference in the sale price of my 2020 EX and new SX will be about $3K. I figure most of that would have gone towards brakes and tires over the next 18 months so for me, makes total sense.

I have an EX AWD with tow and premium on order, I have been waiting for 4 months. May I ask the main reasons you would like an SX now?? You have me second guessing my choice.

If your state charges sales taxes on the vehicle you plan to purchase or charged it on the vehicle you previously purchased and are planning to sell, remember to factor that into your costs.

Remote start, upgraded stereo, memory seats, homelink, rear sunroof but most of all choice of color DM.. Bought the 2020 used.

The stereo and homeink would absolutely be nice!!
It has taken so long I have saved up a little more - I should have just gone ahead with it.

The good news is that both of those can be added after-the-fact so that is still an option (not from the factory) for you if you want them.

I would say wait until things calm down in the market. Worst possible time to be thinking about buying a new vehicle.

Silly things really. I can't believe they leave driver memory and homelink out of the lower models. Harmon Kardon sound, surround view and front parking warning

Driver seat memory was one of the main reasons I went with the SX since my wife and I will both drive it. Then I decided that surround view and front parking sensors would be great since this will be the largest car we have owned. The rest of the stuff is just nice to have.

Those are all pretty nice features! I went on the new car search with a $40,000 budget so after spending $47,000 on the EX (after TTL) I just couldn't justify a few thousand more. I hope the original stereo won't be bad.

The good news is, if you don't like the stereo you can save up and have one installed later for less than several thousand dollars.

The AWD EX-P with tow package that I ordered in July was delivered to my dealer a few days ago, and I picked her up Friday.

I'm pretty spoiled wrt car audio, as I have a Volvo XC-90 with the Dynaudio package. I was pleasantly surprised by the audio quality of the standard system in my EX. It's not Dynaudio level, but it's pretty decent and I don't regret not shelling out the aditonal $5k for the SX-P package, at least not because of the audio system.

That’s such a relief to hear! I’m so glad it sounds good. I hope you enjoy your new car.
