  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I've been lurking on this forum for a few weeks now. I thought it was about time I say hi!

My name is Katie, and I'm from Minnesota. I've been driving a Kia Niro Touring. I absolutely love my Niro, and have developed a great respect for Kia. The only reason I'm looking at upgrading is because my husband wanted a sports car, we need a vehicle large enough to tow a trailer, and I wanted a vehicle large enough for cargo, dogs, and an eventual child. So the Friday before Easter, hubby took home a Stinger, and I put in an order for an SX with Towing in Everlasting Silver! I wanted to get the Prestige package, but I can't quite swing it financially... and the SX is fancy enough to appease my love of high-tech features!

I am beyond excited for my Telly! The dealership told me that it'll probably be 3-7 months before it arrives and that it'll most likely be a 2021 model. I feel very impatient... but I'm thankful to have this extra time to save up for a larger down payment, and to adjust to the income reduction that I've received due to COVID-19. We don't take financial decisions lightly, and it makes us feel a tad bit better that the dealership said if I lose my job, I can back out at any time since they'd be able to turn around and sell my vehicle in a day. I'm not going to give them that option haha, but it's reassuring!

The only thing I'll miss is my Niro's incredible EPA... I average 33-38 mpg in winter, and 42-47 mpg in the summer. I've even gotten up to 50 on days I spend in the Cities! But I feel like the Telluride will easily grow with our family and our needs over the next 10 years, whereas the vehicles I've owned in the past have definitely been 3-5 years then trade in.

Crossing my fingers that I'll have my beautiful new vehicle before Christmas!

I'm new here as well. Welcome to us.
